how to install Plesk on Linux and windows

In this part of our series on installing control panels, we cover how to install Plesk on Linux and Windows. Unlike many other control panels, Plesk runs on both Linux and Windows.
As you may know, Plesk bought cPanel some years ago, and the company is now one of the biggest in the control panel market. Its growth comes from frequent updates, a user-friendly interface, quick bug fixes, and good support and documentation.
You can install Plesk with the automatic process, but in this guide we go a little deeper so you can choose only the features you need.
Install Plesk on Linux:
Connect to your server over SSH and download the installation package:
wget https://autoinstall.plesk.com/plesk-installer
Give the file execute permission:
chmod +x plesk-installer
From here, you can continue in the web console or on the command line.
The web console is available at https://your-ip-address:8447. You need to log in with your root credentials, and port 8447 must be open in your firewall.
The web installation is straightforward, so we will continue on the command line. Run the package:
./plesk-installer
Press F to go forward. At each step, you can choose which packages to install and leave out the ones you do not need.
Install Plesk on Windows:
Download the .exe file from this link, then open cmd and type:
plesk-installer.exe --select-product-id=panel --select-release-latest
From here, continue the installation the same way as in the Linux method above.
When the installation finishes, the web console is available at https://IP:8443. Accept the SSL security warning: the certificate is self-signed, so browsers do not recognize it.
